Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our programs, eligibility, and how to get support.

Getting Support

Who is eligible for support from The Paschal Foundation?

We serve U.S. military veterans from all branches of service, as well as their immediate family members. This includes active duty transitioning to civilian life, honorably discharged veterans, medically separated veterans, and veteran spouses and dependents.

We do not discriminate based on discharge status, era of service, income level, or any other factor. If you served, we want to help.

How do I apply for support?

You can apply directly through our Support Application form on our Contact page. Fill out the form with your information and describe your current situation and what type of support you need.

A member of our team will reach out within 48 hours to discuss next steps. There is no lengthy intake process — we move quickly because we know your situation may be urgent.

How quickly can I receive help?

We respond to all applications within 48 hours. For emergency situations — especially housing crises — we prioritize immediate outreach and work to connect you with resources as quickly as possible.

Is there a cost for your services?

No. All of our programs and services are provided free of charge to veterans and their families. We are funded entirely through donations and grants, so you will never be asked to pay for support.

What if I need help with multiple things?

That's exactly what we're here for. Many veterans face multiple challenges at once — housing instability, unemployment, mental health struggles, and legal issues can all compound each other. We take a holistic approach and can connect you with support across all of our programs simultaneously.

Our Programs

What types of housing assistance do you provide?

We provide emergency shelter referrals, transitional housing coordination, long-term stable housing placement, landlord mediation, and rent assistance for veterans in crisis. We work with a network of housing partners to find options quickly.

Can you help me appeal a denied VA claim?

Yes. Our Advocacy & Legal Aid program specifically focuses on VA disability claims, appeals, and benefits denials. We have experience navigating the VA system and can provide guidance, representation, and advocacy throughout the process.

How do I apply for an education scholarship?

Scholarship applications are accepted through our Support Application form. Select "Education & Scholarships" as your support type and describe your educational goals. Our team will follow up with scholarship details, eligibility criteria, and deadlines.

Donating & Supporting Us

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. The Paschal Foundation Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive a receipt for your records after donating.

How is my donation used?

The vast majority of donations go directly to veteran support programs. We are committed to financial transparency — our annual reports and IRS Form 990 are available upon request. We work hard to minimize overhead so that every dollar has the maximum impact.

Can I volunteer with the foundation?

Absolutely. Volunteers are essential to our mission. Whether you can offer a few hours a month or regular ongoing time, we welcome your help. Contact us through our Contact page to learn about current volunteer opportunities.

Can my company partner with The Paschal Foundation?

Yes — we welcome corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and employer partnerships for our employment programs. Please contact us to discuss partnership opportunities that align with your company's mission and values.
